Kuala Lumpur, 19th June 2024 – PMB Tijari Berhad (PMB Tijari), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Pelaburan MARA Berhad, today donated two (2) sacrificial cows, with a total value of nearly RM11,000.00, to Masjid Al Ikhlasiah, Bukit Kerinchi, Kuala Lumpur.

The sacrificial cows were handed over by the CEO of PMB Tijari, Puan Norleza Abu Bakar, together with the Chairman of Masjid Al Ikhlasiah, Tuan Haji Abas Mohamed Khatib. Also present were the Deputy Chief Imam of Masjid Al Ikhlasiah, Ustaz Mohd Talhah Alimin @ Abd Azizi, and Senior Manager of Finance & Strategic Planning at PMB Tijari, Encik Mohammad Nazri Daud.

According to Puan Norleza Abu Bakar, as a corporate entity under the MARA Investment Group and MARA Corporation Sdn Bhd, PMB Tijari remains committed and conscious of its role in fulfilling its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives.

Among the key CSR focuses of PMB Tijari are empowering knowledge, promoting community harmony, and efforts in preserving and restoring the environment. These initiatives also include supporting government agencies and Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) in activities that can be carried out to achieve mutual goals.

“The sacrificial cow donation today is the first CSR program initiated by PMB Tijari Berhad, in conjunction with the celebration of Hari Raya Aidiladha, held on the second day of Hari Tasyrik, corresponding to 12th Zulhijjah 1445H. Additionally, today’s program is also part of the celebration for PMB Tijari’s 10th anniversary,” said Puan Norleza.

She added that PMB Tijari was responsible for funding the purchase of the sacrificial cows, while Masjid Al Ikhlasiah, as a strategic partner, assisted in identifying 80 deserving asnaf families to receive the sacrificial meat, as well as carrying out the distribution.

The CSR program today is part of a series of planned activities in conjunction with PMB Tijari's 10th anniversary, starting in April 2024. Various CSR programs and corporate events will also be held until 31st March 2025 to further strengthen PMB Tijari's brand image in the eyes of the public and foster closer relationships with other stakeholders.
